hello everyone

i am thinking of putting my house up for raffle, i have been in contact with the gambling commission so i can go about it in the correct fashion, i will aslo be contacting my local council and mortgage company. i will aslo be looking for people to sell tickets in their area (on a percentge), at the end of the raffle, i intend to present two cheques, one to the childrens ward and one to the cancer ward of my local hospital if the target price is reached, tickets will be £10 (ten pounds) so as you can appreciate it isnt just going to sell its self, its going to take a lot of hard work, advertising and selling tickets alone.

i have heard a lot of horror stories about this going wrong, but i believe handled in the correct manner it can be a success and while this is a genuine raffle i will not give my house away, if the target price isnt reached, all the money that has been collected will be divided into 10 equal parts after the costs have been covered and 9 tickets will be drawn, the holders of the 9 drawn tickets will be given an equal cash prize, while the final 10th will be split between the two wards in my local hospital mentioned above.

the house is situated in north wales 20 miles from the wales/england border, its detached has 3/4 bedrooms and a big garden, plus room to park at least 6 cars off the road. it needs some work doing to it but its ready to move in and all jobs can be done while you live in it!

please post your comments on this, i look forward to reading them.

thank you!

elfed the mad welshman.
